I am very grateful I came across this book by accident. It confirmed what I somehow knew but could not put my finger on; namely that through their behaviour and physical state of well-being, children have a great deal to tell us about ourselves. Children are open and pure and want the very best for us, just as we do for them. We can mean more to and for them when we are able to live up to our full potential.
The author leads the reader through her simple yet wonderfully effective method logically. The theory is interwoven with her personal story that led to the development of the PresentChild Mehtod. Her honesty and determination to learn and develop herself is inspiring and encouraging.
Following the method I have learned an enormous amount about myself through my children. I have discovered blind spots and repetitive behaviour patterns that have been getting me into the same binds for years! I was astounded by how rapid the resulting changes were in my children and my family. It was as though a key had turned in a lock and I could enter a new way of being and being together. At first I thought it was too good to be true or a mere co-incidence that by dealing with an unresolved issue myself I could open doors for my childen or solve problems they were experiencing but, time and again, IT WRORKED!
The method is practical and precise leaving one in no doubt about the TRUTH it uncovers as well as a SIMPLE way forward.
The best thing about the method in my opinion is that it showed me how I can continue to trust in the messages my children have for me, both positive and negative. I can apply the method when necessary for the rest of my life, it is that simple! All it asks of me is the willingness to take my children seriously.
